Popped

This week we went to a smaller town just outside of Vitoria called Abetxuko to do some different contacting other than street contacting. Also we tried to visit with some menos activos not a lot were home but we were able to meet with a guy named Henry who said he will come back to church when his family comes in December.

Both of the new missionaries in our district just started their training. It was a blessing for me that they are in our district because I can finally see that my Spanish is improving. They have the same look of confusion that I had three months ago.
the district
Saturday we went to a guy in our wards birthday. It turned out to be more of a ward activity. On our way there we walked past a large (but peaceful) protest they were having in the streets. Also we invited some guy we met on the street who is from Morocco to our weekly futbol activity and he came and brought two friends. I was playing goalie and later in the activity I went to punt the ball (a very old ball) and it popped.  I guess I kicked it too hard.

3 Nephi 9:14  Yea, verily I say unto you, if ye will come unto me ye shall have eternal life. Behold, mine arm of mercy is extended towards you, and whosoever will come, him will I receive; and blessed are those who come unto me.

Transfers and Rain

This week was transfers and I am happy to report that I am staying here in Vitoria. I would be even happier if the rain would stop.  November is the rainy month in this area. And they aren't kidding, as it hasn't stopped raining for almost the last two weeks.

Three people in our district were transferred so now I am the only one who hasn't moved since I got here, the viejo of the district. Also we were able to set a baptismal date with our amigo Darwin this week. Pray for him that he will continue on this path.  We also met with a new person this week named Yeray and it was hard to understand him because he spoke super fast.

Saturday we taught a class at the church for the youth missionary activity about finding people to teach. Also, Precious one of the Hermanas amigos was baptized. The only problem was the hot water at the church was broken, so me and my companion were boiling water and dumping it in the font for like an hour. I don't think it helped. I had always heard stories like this before my mission, now I am living it.

Zone Conf. & Halloween

At the beginning of this week it has been super cold and rainy. Tuesday night we went up to Bilbao for zone conference on Wednesday. At zone conference we all got flu shots. I realized we're not the youngest ones in the mission anymore.

Friday we went to a city in our area called Miranda de Ebro. We were able to meet with one person and get one new potential person to teach while we were there. This week we were also able to teach Darwin with Ronald. Darwin invited his cousin to join in on the lesson and it went really well. We were finally able to do some service this week and helped a family in our ward move.

played paint ball for pday
I have definitely been playing the piano more than I thought I would on my mission. Usually I only play in our district council meetings, but this week I had to play in front of the whole congregation in sacrament meeting for my first time because Felipe had to do something for the stake and was out of town.  Today for preparation day we went and played some paintball. (see pics)

This week at zone conference one of the main points was about the plan of salvation. It makes me so happy that we can live with our family forever.

Editors note: a few details from the next week below as well

Tuesday we had intercambios with the Burgos Elders and we had a meal appointment at night but we got there early so we went to a library close by and placed a book of Mormon in the religion section. One miracle that happened this week was we were able to meet with a new amigo Donny and he owns a kebab restaurant and is from Pakistan.

May the Force be with you.
This past week week was also Halloween and another miracle this week was we met a family and they came to noche de barrio activity.  They are from Columbia and they have family who are members.  We are hoping to start teaching them soon.  The work is starting to pick up which is a nice.

Helamam 5:12 And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.
