Remember HIm

Hola! A few things have happened since I last wrote. A couple of weeks ago we had transfers so Elder Howes left and now I have a new companion whose name is Elder Cox. He is from Manti, Utah and has been out for a little over a year and a half. We have been able to set a baptismal date with our amigo byron and we are working a lot with another amiga named Yoselin. We are also trying to focus more on finding some new people to teach.

This week we had a mission conference and talked a lot about getting members more involved in missionary work. We were able to teach two new people who have a lot of interest in the Gospel. We met a lady named Angie on Facebook who is around our age and from Colombia and is trying to make some changes in her life. We also met with a member in our ward named Debbie and she invited a lady named Nora over as well. Who is from Bulgaria and is searching for more truth in her life.  This week I have heard a lot about becoming more like our Savior Jesus Christ. I love what President Erying said in a talk called missionary work and the atonement. He says "when I find myself drawn away from my duties and when my body begs for rest, I give to myself this rallying cry, Remember Him."

Testimonies, Transfers, and Pics

This past week at testimony meeting Augustin, Gladys, and Kathia all bore their testimonies at church during fast and testimony meeting.  It was great to hear the newly baptized members share their testimonies with everyone. This week is transfers and Elder Howes is being transferred to Barcelona and my new comp will be Elder Cox.  This past week we were fed every night.  That has never happened to me before on the mission.  I think 3 in a week was the most before this week.  Well not to much to share but enjoy the pics. They are from pday adventures and with members who fed us this week.

Cuevas

This week was awesome. We ate with quite a few members this week. It helped us get to know some people in the branch better. Also we had a Facebook training this week about posting more on our stories. We were also able to do a virtual tour of the Madrid temple with Gladys and Augustin and they loved it. On Saturday our amiga Kathia got baptized. Everything turned out well and it was an amazing experience. Some of her family who live in Bolivia got to watch thanks to technology.

Someone had told us about these caves on the island, so last pday we went exploring trying to find them.  We knew the general direction and with a little luck we found them.  Attached are a few pictures from the adventure.
