Dia de Los Reyes

New Year's Eve from our roof

Not much happened this week. We don't have a lot of people to teach and are still contacting a lot which has been a little difficult during the holiday season. We were able to meet with two less active families this week. On New Years Eve we went to the American family in our areas house. One tradition here for New Years Eve is to eat twelve grapes at midnight. We also have access to the roof from our apartment so we went up and watched fireworks from there.

One of the bigger holidays here is Dia de Los Reyes.  Which was this past week.  They have parades throughout the city and the kids put their shoes out at night so Los Reyes (the three kings/wisemen) will fill their shoes with gifts.

Also, three elders in our mission are being deported back to the States due to a paperwork issue and since we are in a trio Elder Rappleyea will be leaving to go to San Sebastian this Tuesday.  Today for pday we went to Park Guell which was fun.

Tenga una buena semana!
