Montserrat

A quick note. This his past week we taught a lady named Mariana from the Dominican Republic who is evangelical (it seems like we teach everyone who is not from Spain). We were able to go to a noche de hogar this week with three families in our ward. Saturday we went with our amiga Gissel and the JAS (young adults) to Montserrat. (google Montserrat) I thought we were going to take the tram to the top.  It turns out they wanted to hike to the top.  Lots of good views and we hiked forever and did not make it all the way to the top.  If I go again I will take the tram to the top.

This week we were planning on meeting with Gissel and her friend Daniel for English class and she invited another friend and her sister to come. So I ended up teaching English to four people and my companion which was pretty interesting. Then we shared the message of the Restoration with them. After this lesson we went and sat down on a bench to put in the area book what happened, but it was kind of in a sketch part of our area at night and some chaval around our age and his gang walked by and asked Elder Bucio for a lighter. The conversation went like this:
with my brave comp, Elder Bucio

Chavale: "do you have a lighter?"
Elder Bucio: "no viejo"
Chavale: "what did you say?"
Elder Bucio:"nada"
Chavale: "what did you say?"
Elder Bucio: "no viejo"

And then the rest of the gang was going ooooohhhhhh and roasting their friend. It was pretty funny after they left but I was a little nervous about the situation at first.

This Sunday in church I attempted to translate for some Pakistan lady who can't speak Spanish.  Also some random guy just showed up at church this Sunday because he wanted to do some family history work. If you want to get started on family history work go to familysearch.org

Tenga una buena semana!
