Pamplona

This week I finished up my last couple days in Sabadell.  They ended up setting a baptismal date with Rafael. Then on Wednesday I headed to Barcelona to go to a training meeting because I will be half training/finishing up the training of my new companion. My new companion is Elder Diaz and is from Bolivia but has lived in Madrid for the last few years and he is 26 years old. Which is kind of weird because I am only 18.  That would be like me being companions with my cousin Travis. (Which would be way awesome!) So hopefully it will be just as fun being with Elder Diaz.

My new area is Pamplona (think running with the bulls) which is also kind of weird because it borders my first area Vitoria. So I am back in the Basque Country. The good part is that we have bikes in our area. There are two wards in Pamplona, with Sisters working in the other ward.  That makes me district leader by default.

At the beginning of this week we were told to work normally. Then as the week progressed they told us we could only leave our apartment if we had set appointments.  We were also instructed to buy two weeks of food.  It was a good thing we did because on Saturday evening we were told that we are going to be quarantined for two weeks.  And those who had less than two transfers left and those with health issues in the mission were sent home. They ended up closing 19 areas. Even though we are in piso all day we have a schedule we are following so we still stay busy.

The past two days that we have been quarantined people go out and start clapping and cheering from their balconies at 8pm.  One Scripture that i liked this week is Jacob 2:18 "But before ye seek for riches, seek ye for the kingdom of God."

Tenga una buena semana!
